The Loud Majority
We are already the majority.

What this campaign is about
The Loud Majority maps mass climate demonstrations around the world, shows what they actually look like, and gives anyone a way to start the next one: a recipe for organising a demonstration, a form to tip off an organisation that could hold one, and a way to demonstrate digitally when you cannot be there in person.
It grew out of Klimatdemonstrationen in Stockholm on 23 August 2026, where more than 50,000 people marched, backed by over 280 organisations.
Why it is needed
The overwhelming majority of people want stronger climate action — and almost everyone believes they are in the minority. That mistaken belief keeps people quiet, and silence is read by decision-makers as consent. Making the majority visible to itself is the cheapest political intervention available.
Facts and data
- 89% of people worldwide want their government to do more on climate.
- More than 50,000 people marched in Stockholm on 23 August 2026, backed by over 280 organisations.
- The campaign maps demonstrations across dozens of countries, from 2018 to today, in seven languages.
What we want to achieve
- 1One public map of where the climate majority has shown up, kept current.
- 2A working recipe so any organisation can hold the next demonstration.
- 3More demonstrations, in more countries, each one visible to everyone else.
