Future Voices
Young climate advocates spoke to world leaders as their future selves.

What it was about
We launched Future Voices at COP28. Fourteen young climate advocates from six continents, from Bangladesh to Ecuador, each recorded a message about how climate change will reshape their own community by 2050.
Using AI, we transformed each advocate into their future, older self delivering that message. Every voice was local and personal. Every voice ended with the same demand to world leaders: phase out fossil fuels. The initiative was backed by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
Why it was needed
Young people have demanded a livable future for years, yet world leaders keep treating their voices as an appeal rather than a mandate. We asked a simple question: what if leaders had to hear from the people who will live with their decisions — not today, but in 2050?

Facts and data
- 185 million people reached within a few days of launch.
- Near-zero media budget — the reach was earned, not bought.
- 14 advocates, 6 continents, speaking with one message.
- Backed by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
What came of it
On the final day of COP28, nearly 200 countries agreed for the first time to transition away from fossil fuels in energy systems — the very demand every Future Voice had made. It was a start, not the finish line.
The agreement to move away from fossil fuels now has to become national action. Follow our current campaigns and help hold leaders to their promise.
